Cross Border arrest for Aggravated Assault - Alice Springs

A 31-year-old man will face the Alice Springs Local Court in relation to an aggravated assault against a woman in South Australia earlier this year, Northern Territory Police say.

South Australian Police issued a warrant of apprehension for the man after it is alleged he committed aggravated assault offences against a woman in South Australia in July.

Working with the APY Lands Domestic and Family Violence Service and the NPY Women’s Council, officers from the Northern Territory Police Cross Border Team tracked the man down to living in Kintore and he was subsequently arrested by Kintore police today.

The man has been remanded in custody and is scheduled to appear before the Alice Springs Local Court on Monday 24 September.
