Thousands of visitors poured into Cleves Park in Putney on Sunday 18 May for Cork & Fork by the Riverside, City of Ryde's popular annual festival celebrating the best in regional wine, local produce, and live entertainment.
The late change of venue from Kissing Point Park due to a forecast of high winds did not deter revellers, who defied the inclement weather to enjoy a day filled with boutique wines from Orange and the Hunter Valley, small-batch spirits, locally brewed craft beer, and gourmet bites from across NSW.
The family-friendly event also featured artisan stalls, interactive workshops, and a full program of live music, creating a vibrant and relaxed atmosphere.
City of Ryde Mayor Trenton Brown said the strong turnout reflected the community's enthusiasm for local events and regional producers.
"Cork & Fork by the Riverside is all about celebrating the incredible food and wine culture we have access to - both locally and in our nearby wine regions. It was fantastic to see so many people enjoying the day, supporting small producers, and connecting with each other in such a beautiful setting," Mayor Brown said.
With free entry, kids' activities, and entertainment for all ages, the event once again proved to be a standout on the City's annual events calendar. Visitors savoured the opportunity to explore a wide range of flavours while supporting independent businesses.
Council thanks all stallholders, performers, volunteers, and attendees for making this year's Cork & Fork by the Riverside such a great success.
