Dalyellup Social Housing Construction Begins

  • Two new one and two-bedroom homes being delivered in Dalyellup Beach Estate
  • Being built with $336,474 Community Housing New Build Grant funding
  • A critical part of our $3.2 billion social housing investment program

The State Government is funding community housing provider Alliance Housing WA to build two more social housing dwellings in Dalyellup.

WA Country Builders have begun construction on the one and two-bedroom homes, which are being delivered with the help of a $336,474 Community Housing New Build Grant from the State Government.

WA Country Builders is part of Western Australian company JHW Group.

The dual key-house development comprises one main and one ancillary self-contained dwelling on a single lot in the Dalyellup Beach Estate, each with its own private courtyard and access.

The project will help meet demand for affordable and appropriate seniors housing within a traditional family suburb environment.

It is expected to reach completion in 2026.

Comments attributed to Housing and Works Minister John Carey:

"Our government is committed to ensuring we meet the diverse needs of tenants across WA.

"The Community Housing New Build Grants program is a substantial investment to help meet this demand by enabling the construction of social housing with a variety of dwelling types and configurations.

"The program provides critical financial support to grow the community housing sector and is part of our record $5.8 billion investment in housing and homelessness measures since 2021."

Comments attributed to South West Minister Don Punch:

"This investment represents the Cook Government's ongoing commitment to boost social housing in the South West.

"I am thrilled to be part of a government that, through the Community Housing New Build Grant, can help with creative housing solutions for some of the most vulnerable members of our community."
