Prepare to be swept away to Another Dimension when Darling Downs art teachers switch from instruction to creative mode for a collective exhibition at Goombungee's Rosalie Gallery from January 7 to February 1, 2026.
Titled Another Dimension, the exhibition by the Darling Downs - Queensland Art Teachers' Association will showcase works by primary and secondary school art educators.
The exhibition will examine the interplay between 2D, 3D and 4D art. It will showcase works that challenge perceptions of physical, psychological, conceptual and virtual dimensions, where each layer adds depth and complexity to visual experiences.
Reflecting the Australian Arts curriculum, it mirrors how senior students explore an initial idea to develop a portfolio across different media and into another dimension physically and conceptually.
This theme highlights the continuous evolution of artistic expression, bridging historical and contemporary practices to expand our understanding of art and its effects on experience.
