City of Darwin has completed its 2025/26 Road Reseal Program, enhancing the condition of four key roads across the municipality as part of City of Darwin' ongoing investment in maintaining essential infrastructure.
The project included resurfacing and pavement replacement works on Alec Fong Lim Drive, East Point Road, Henbury Avenue and Rocklands Drive.
Lord Mayor Peter Styles said maintaining a safe and reliable road network was a key priority for City of Darwin.
"Well-maintained roads make it safer and easier for our community to travel every day, whether driving, cycling or catching public transport," Mr Styles said.
"This program is about investing in the infrastructure our community relies on while protecting these important assets for years to come.
"Our 2025/26 Municipal Plan prioritised practical investments that improve everyday infrastructure, and projects such as this ensure our roads remain safe, resilient and fit for a growing city," he said.
Road resealing restores the road surface, improves ride quality, reduces ongoing maintenance requirements and helps extend the lifespan of the underlying pavement.
The completed works form part of City of Darwin's ongoing capital works program, which continues to deliver infrastructure improvements that enhance connectivity, safety and liveability across the municipality.
