Declutter and save

Barossa Council

Barossa residents can clean up and save money thanks to The Barossa Council's latest waste disposal incentive.

Following the success of this year's "Declutter and Save" initiative, a limited number of hard waste vouchers, which can also be used to dispose of green waste, are being made available on a first in first served basis from 4 October to 30 November.

Mayor Bim Lange hopes it will encourage people to get rid of their rubbish responsibly.

Most of us are looking to free up some space around the home, shed or garage, so this is a cost-effective solution that we're proud to offer our community.

- Mayor Bim Lange

One voucher, valued at $75, is available to residents per eligible property in both townships and rural areas.

Simply call Council on 8563 8444 to secure your voucher which can be used at either Springton Transfer Station, Eco Waste Solutions, the Yard Clean Up Man or KAND do it.

For domestic waste only, a range of materials are accepted depending on where you choose to redeem your voucher. Residents are encouraged to check accepted materials with their vendor of choice prior to disposal.

Vouchers must be used by 9 December, and to make it a little easier, the Springton Transfer Station will be open extra days, including 28 October and 25 November from 9am to 3pm.

Just note, only one service is available per financial year. So, if you choose to claim your voucher this time, you are ineligible for our next "Declutter and Save" promotion scheduled for early next year which will include a kerbside collection option.
