Defected Car Caught Doing Burnouts At Enfield

A car was caught doing burnouts at Enfield yesterday afternoon, just hours after police had defected the vehicle.

Just before 8am on Tuesday 11 August, police attended an Enfield address in relation to an unregistered and uninsured vehicle parked in the street. The Ford sedan was also deemed unroadworthy and was defected by police.

About 12.30pm on the same day, police were called to Learmonth Street, Enfield by reports of a car doing burnouts in the street.

Road Policing officers attended and located the vehicle.

The 18-year-old driver was reported for misuse of a motor vehicle, drive contrary to defect, drive unregistered and uninsured and drive with an expired learner's permit.

He will be summonsed to appear in court at a later date.

The vehicle was impounded for 28 days.
