NATO Deputy Secretary General Mircea Geoană addressed the Spring Conference of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly in Luxembourg on Monday (22 May 2023). The Deputy Secretary General thanked Luxembourg for its contributions to NATO, particularly in space surveillance and satellite capabilities, and for providing strong support for Ukraine.
Mr. Geoană underscored that security is the foundation for prosperity, stressing that, "without security, peace and prosperity, there is no freedom. This is the time to invest in our values, in NATO, and of course, in many other ways. So I count on your support."
274 parliamentarians from the 31 NATO Allies, as well as around 100 representatives from nearly 25 partner countries and parliamentary entities, are taking part in this year's spring conference of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly.
