Derby Fatal Crash

Officers from the Major Crash Investigation Section are seeking the public's assistance for information following a fatal crash that occurred in Derby on Thursday, 2 April 2026.

About 9.45 pm, a white Nissan Patrol with four occupants was being driven in the mudflats adjacent to Rowan Street when the driver lost control of the vehicle and it rolled.

An 18 year old woman, who was a passenger in the vehicle, sustained critical injuries in the crash and died at the scene.

Two 17-year-old male passengers were not injured. The 19-year-old male driver was uninjured, and he is assisting police with their inquiries.

Major Crash investigators are urging anyone who saw the crash, or who saw the Nissan Patrol travelling in the area prior to the crash, to contact Crime Stoppers online at www.crimestopperswa.com.au or by calling 1800 333 000.
