Detectives are investigating the circumstances surrounding a fire at an entertainment venue in Thornbury this morning.
Emergency services were called to the multi-purpose function and dining space in Matisi Street following reports of the fire about 1.50am.
At this stage investigators are treating the fire, which is believed to be suspicious, as a targeted attack.
A crime scene has been established and an arson chemist along with detectives will attend the scene this morning.
Police will investigate whether the fire has any links to other recent fires.
Investigators are appealing for anyone who may have seen anyone acting suspiciously in the area or with information to come forward.
