Discharge of firearm in Dunwich, QLD

A man has been charged following investigations into the discharge of a firearm into a house in Dunwich last night, Queensland Police say.

At 7.50pm, it will be alleged that police attended an East Coast Road residence where a firearm has been discharged once into dwelling.

A 27-year-old man was home at the time and suffered minor cuts and abrasions to his back.

A man was arrested a short time later in bushland near the residence.

A 45-year-old man is expected to appear in the Cleveland Magistrates Court this morning charged with one count each of assault occasioning bodily harm, unlawful discharge of a firearm in public, unlawful possession, wilful damage and production of a dangerous drug.
