Discounted Flights, Tours Aim to Boost Broome Tourism

  • Discounted Broome airfares, tours and experiences to boost Kimberley tourism
  • More than 4,000 additional discount airfares offered from $199 one-way
  • Supported by the Cook Government, through Tourism WA

Thousands of discounted Broome airfares and Kimberley experiences are now on offer to boost travel and support local businesses in the region.

More than 4,000 discount airfares are available for travel on Virgin Australia's Perth to Broome route and for those travelling on Nexus' regional Western Australia flights into the iconic Kimberley destination.

Supported by the Cook Government, through Tourism WA, the boost to the region follows the closure of Jetstar Asia and ending the Broome to Singapore route.

These low-price fares add to the 16,400 discounted airfares already made available on the Perth to Broome route as part of the 2025 Affordable Airfares Program.

Virgin Australia's additional discount airfares are available for travel between Perth and Broome between 25 August and 26 October 2025, with fares starting from $199 one-way, unless sold out prior.

In addition, Nexus Airlines has discount airfares from Geraldton, Karratha and Port Hedland into Broome, which are available until sold out for those travelling from 19 July to 31 October 2025, with fares starting from:

  • Geraldton - Broome route for $399 one-way;
  • Karratha - Broome route for $299 one-way; and
  • Port Hedland - Broome route for $199 one-way.

The Cook Government is also partnering with the Broome Visitor Centre to offer discounted tours and experiences for visitors this dry season. The vouchers offer 25 per cent off applicable tours and experiences and will be available from 15 July to 31 October 2025, unless sold out prior.

The discounted fares form part of the Cook Government's economic diversification strategy, supporting regional tourism and businesses in Broome and the wider North West, following the recent closure of Jetstar Asia.

In 2024, Broome received close to 240,000 overnight visitors, the majority of whom were Australians.
