Divorce rate is at a 40-year low, unless you're 55 or older

Marriage is thriving but changing in the ways in which people approach it, says Tera Jordan, associate professor of human development and family studies at Iowa State. In 1963, the average woman married at around age 20, but by 2017, the median age for marriage was 27 for women and 29 for men.
