Dog attacked in Mirrabooka, WA

Mirrabooka Police are investigating an incident which occurred in parkland near Apple Blossom Drive Mirrabooka yesterday, Wednesday 17 May 2017.

At about 6:00pm, police were advised a male person was armed with a weapon and attacked a dog at the Apple Blossom Polyantha Reserve, WA Police say.

The owner of the dog, a 22 year old female from Mirrabooka, was exercising her 4 year old Labrador off lead when it was alleged a man approached the dog and attacked it.

The man is described as tall, white skinned, light coloured beard and wearing a tan coloured hoodie and dark pants.

The owner took the dog to a veterinary hospital where sadly it passed away as a result of injuries received.

Police are appealing for any person who was in the area at the time to contact Crime Stoppers.
