Science & Technology Australia is proud to congratulate Dr Noushin Nasiri, a 2021 Superstar of STEM and Head of the NanoTech Laboratory at Macquarie University, whose team, 'Fission Chips' has won the ANSTO Eureka Prize for Innovative Use of Technology.
Noushin's groundbreaking research develops nanosensors that could one day detect diseases such as diabetes and lung cancer simply through analysing breath, a potentially life-changing technology that is more efficient and affordable.
In her acceptance speech, Noushin thanked her collaborators, mentors, and students, reflecting on the power of curiosity and teamwork.
"Thank you to the Eureka Prize committee for reminding us that innovation is an act of hope," she said.
Congratulations to Noushin and the Fission Chips Team on this incredible achievement, an example of Australian science innovation at its best.
