People in the Cobden district are invited to give feedback on the Draft Tandarook Park Masterplan.
The plan will provide a vision for how the Reserve will look and function in the long term.
The plan aims to ensure the park is an attractive, accessible space that appeals to visitors and gives locals somewhere to enjoy a healthy and active lifestyle.
Local residents and groups were asked what they liked about the park and what improvements were needed. They asked for better physical access, more wheelchair-friendly paths, a stage and a family/picnic zone.
Upgrades to the barbecue shelter and toilets, lighting, more seats, tables and a playground were also suggested.
South Central Ward Councillor Jo Beard said the master plan was an exciting project for Cobden.
"It's easy to always rush in and say: 'Let's do this,' 'Let's do that,' based on a little bit of feedback and hope you get it right," she said. "But a masterplan certainly does help steer getting it right. . It will help Council plan future budget allocations to capitalise on opportunities going forward.
"That fact that we have a Project Reference Group that's been helping oversee the process is our most transparent way of making sure the community is involved in producing a master plan.
"We're not quite there yet. We want to put out the draft master plan and see what the feedback is."
"I really encourage everyone out there to have a really close look at it and continue to ask questions.
"Make sure you let us know because going forward this master plan is going to inform the projects that, excitingly, we'll get to carry out over the next 10 years at Tandarook Park."
The public can view the draft and leave feedback here until Friday 25 November.
