Drink driver in Creswick loses car for 30 days

Learmonth police have impounded a vehicle after intercepting an alleged drink driver in Creswick on Thursday afternoon.

The 48-year-old man, who was unlicensed at the time, was observed travelling in his silver Mazda 323 on Centre Road about 2.35pm.

He returned a positive evidentiary breath test of .198.

His vehicle was subsequently impounded for 30 days at a cost of $1325.

The Bald Hills man is expected to be charged on summons with drink driving and unlicensed driving.
