A man has been charged with high-range PCA after allegedly being caught more than six times the legal alcohol limit in The Hume region.
About 6pm yesterday (Wednesday 26 May 2021), officers attached to The Hume Police District were conducting patrols in Yass, when a Toyota Hilux turned from Comur Street into Petit Street and allegedly narrowly avoided hitting a police vehicle.
The utility was pulled over and the 33-year-old driver was subjected to a roadside breath test, which returned a positive result.
He was arrested and taken to Yass Police Station, where it's alleged he returned a secondary breath test with a reading of 0.305.
The Yass man was charged with high-range PCA and had his licence suspended.
He will appear in Yass Local Court on Friday 18 June 2021.
