Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives are investigating after a fatal crash involving a stolen vehicle in Burwood this morning.
Emergency services were called to the Burwood Highway about 1.20am to reports a car had crashed into a pole.
The passenger, who is yet to be formally identified, sadly died at the scene.
Investigators are searching for the driver of the vehicle who fled the scene before police arrived.
Checks have revealed the vehicle was stolen from Reservoir overnight between 15 and 16 July.
Investigations remain ongoing.
