Dubbo Regional Theatre and Convention Centre (DRTCC) will host the award-winning Dance Makers Collective this month as they bring their boundary-breaking dance celebration, All In, to the region.
This uplifting, immersive experience celebrates the richness and power of dance as a community unifier and reminds patrons that dance can build social connection, joy, and reflection in ways few other things can.
Following its premiere at Sydney Festival in 2025, All In has been adapted into a bespoke production for each location on its national tour, created alongside local artists in each community.
Led by Director/Choreographer Miranda Wheen, the Dubbo Region production features performances from Dance Makers Collective, Nova Performing Arts students, Anartana Studio multicultural dancers led by Farhana Sanjay, and local First Nations Dancers.
DRTCC is also engaging Dubbo College VET students to assist with technical services for the event.
Performing Arts and Venues Coordinator Tiffany Rowland said that All In uses a grassroots collaborative model to engage the region's talent.
"This collaborative model not only celebrates local talent but also strengthens community professional development, providing artists, students, and cultural practitioners with meaningful opportunities for mentorship and skill-building," Ms Rowland said.
To localise the production, DMC visited Dubbo to recreate the show with local groups, host workshops, and interview members of the groups to incorporate their voices into the audio of the local production.
Dance Makers Collective General Manager Carl Sciberras said All In brings together all the best things about dance.
"It has incredible performances by both touring and local dancers from a broad range of ages and dance forms, excellent music, and the chance for the audience to get on the dancefloor and experience the joy as well. What's so special about this work is the heart and generosity of the local community who play a crucial role in making it a truly unique experience," Mr Sciberras said.
All In will be held at 7:30pm on Friday 21 and Saturday 22 August 2026.
With special VIP packages available, this is a great opportunity for patrons to gather their friends and family and go "All In" together. VIP Package (up to five people) for $190 includes entry for five people, VIP lanyards, cheese platter for five (valued at $90), 10 per cent discount on drinks at the bar, premium seating, and an exclusive photo opportunity with the performers.
