Drug charges at Springwood

Detectives from the Major and Organised Crime Squad Logan have charged three men with drug-related offences after a search warrant was executed at a Springwood hotel overnight.

At approximately 9pm police conducted a search of the hotel room and subsequent search of a vehicle on Murrajong Road where it will be alleged they located and seized a quantity of drugs, including 351 grams of a crystal substance suspected to be methamphetamine, a small quantity of cannabis, unlabelled pharmaceutical tablets and approximately $21,000 cash.

A 32-year-old Mount Warren Park man has been charged with possession of dangerous drugs and possession of things used. He is due to appear at Beenleigh Magistrates Court on March 15.

A 40-year-old Heritage Park man has been charged with possessing a dangerous drug exceed schedule 1, possession of proceeds of crime, and possession of utensil. He is due to appear at Beenleigh Magistrates Court on March 15.

A 46-year-old Deception Bay man was charged with possession of a restricted drug, possession of a weapon and possess of utensils. He is due to appear at Caboolture Magistrates Court at a later date.

A 45-year-old Deception Bay man was charged with possession of dangerous drug and failure to take reasonable care with respect to needle. Police will allege the man attended the address and was intercepted nearby with a small quantity of a crystal substance. He is due to appear at Beenleigh Magistrates Court on March 18.
