Drug supply charges after search of home, NSW

A man will face court today charged with allegedly supplying a commercial quantity of drugs and firearm offences after a search warrant at a home in Macquarie Park, NSW Police say.

About 3.30pm (Thursday 23 August 2018), officers from Ryde Police Area Command executed a search warrant at a home on Mooltan Avenue, Macquarie Park.

During the search, they allegedly located chemicals and solvents and the Chemicals Operations Unit was subsequently called to the location.

Police located cocaine, Gamma-Butyrolactone (GBL), MDMA, two firearms and $370,000 cash.

A 37-year-old man was arrested and taken to Ryde Police Station where he was charged with a string of offences:

  • Possess unauthorised pistol/firearm (x2)
  • Supply prohibited drug – large commercial quantity (x3)
  • Knowingly deal with proceeds of crime
  • Possess ammunition without holding a licence/permit

He was refused bail to appear before Burwood Local Court today (Friday 24 August 2018).
