Drugs charges, Fitzgibbon

Two people have been charged after a quantity of drugs, drug utensils, a firearm and a large quantity of cash was allegedly located at a Fitzgibbon residence on Saturday morning, May 21.

Around 12pm, officers from the Carseldine Criminal Investigation Branch, Boondall Tactical Crime Squad, and Brisbane Drug Detection Dogs executed a search warrant at the Silkyoak Circuit address.

It will be alleged that during the search, officers found cocaine, performance-enhancing drugs, a handgun, drug utensils and a quantity of money.

A 24-year-old Fitzgibbon man has been charged with one count each of possessing dangerous drugs, receiving tainted property, possessing property suspected of having been used in connection with the commission of a drug offence, possess utensils or pipes that have been used, fail to properly dispose of needle and syringe.

A 26-year-old Fitzgibbon woman has been charged with one count each of possessing dangerous drugs, receiving tainted property, possessing property suspected of having been used in connection with the commission of a drug offence, possess utensils or pipes that have been used.

They will both face Brisbane Magistrates Court on June 24.
