A man has appeared in court on serious drug charges after police searched his Valley View home.
Detectives from the Serious and Organised Crime Branch attended a Valley View home on Wednesday 24 May.
It will be alleged officers located a large quantity of illicit drugs, including 2700 LSD tickets, 170 ecstasy tablets, a pound of cannabis and other powders suspected to be controlled drugs. A pill press and cash were also found.
A 28-year-old Valley View man was arrested and charged with trafficking in a large commercial quantity of a controlled drug, four counts of trafficking in a controlled drug and possessing prescribed equipment.
He was refused police bail and appeared in the Adelaide Magistrates Court on Thursday 25 May. He was bailed to appear in court on 5 December.
Detective Chief Inspector Denise Gray, Acting Officer in Charge Serious and Organised Crime Branch warned of the dangers of taking fake pharmaceutical drugs.
"A number of the substances seized were marked to appear as to be legitimate pharmaceutical products however these products were counterfeit and are not true to label and can contain a dangerous combination and levels of unknown toxic substances.
"The use of these dangerous drugs including fake pharmaceuticals can have tragic and often deadly consequences. Every time you take something that is not prescribed for you and every time you use an illicit drug you are gambling with your life."
