Election of Deputy Mayor

Kiama Council has re-elected Clr. Andrew Sloan as Deputy Mayor until the local government elections on Saturday 4 December.

Councillors were unanimously voted in Clr. Sloan via a show of hands during last night's online Council meeting.

The election was required due to the delays to the election, originally scheduled for September 2020, then September 2021.

Councillors was re-elected Clr. Andrew Sloan as Deputy Mayor to serve an additional 12 months to bridge this initial delay.

The further postponement of the elections to this December required councillors to once again elect a Deputy Mayor to cover the additional three months.
