Police are investigating a house fire that claimed the life of a person in Maryborough this morning.
Emergency services were called just before 8am this morning after reports a house on Garden Street was engulfed in fire.
Sadly, a person was located inside the house and pronounced deceased. Formal identification is yet to be completed.
A crime scene has been declared as investigators work to determine the cause of the fire.
