Emergency crews responding to fatal house fire in Glen Waverley

Police will prepare a report for the coroner following a fatal house fire in Glen Waverley on 11 February.

Emergency services responded about 6.30am to the Vermont Street house which was fully engulfed.

Fire crews extinguished the fire, and a body was located.

The deceased person is yet to be formally identified at this stage but is believed to have been an occupant of the home.

Detectives from the Arson Squad and a fire investigator attended the scene this morning.

The exact cause of the fire is yet to be determined but it is not being treated as suspicious at this stage.
