Emergency crews responding to fire at Primary School in Thornlie 18 March

Arson Squad detectives are seeking information to assist in their investigation into a fire at a Primary School located on Sage Road in Thornlie on Wednesday 9 March 2022.

Around 11pm, alarms at the school activated and police were notified. On arrival, police saw part of the school on fire and contacted the Department of Fire and Emergency Services (DFES).

The fire destroyed a computer room at the school and the damage bill is estimated at $500,000.

The cause of the fire is being investigated by Arson Squad detectives, who wish to speak to anyone who saw any suspicious persons or vehicles in the area between 10:30pm and midnight.
