Under the Accelerating Transition to Circular Economy for Arab SMEs initiative, ESCWA, in partnership with the Ministry of Economy of Oman, organized back-to-back capacity-building workshops from 2 to 4 June.
As part of a regional workshop series for national policymakers, the workshops aimed at supporting the development of policies that promote the integration of SMEs into the circular economy. They brought together policymakers and public sector decision makers and provided practical tools and policy approaches to encourage the adoption of circular practices, enhance SME competitiveness, and foster sustainable growth.
These efforts align with Oman Vision 2040 and ongoing initiatives of the Ministry of Economy, including the development of circular economy policy tools and a national roadmap to advance resource-efficient and circular business practices, particularly among SMEs.
