Eurimages-Backed Sentimental Value Wins Best Int'l Film

CoE/Eurimages

Sentimental Value by Joachim Trier has just taken home the Oscar for best international feature film at the 98th Academy Awards.

Eurimages supported the co-production of this film between Norway, France, Denmark and Germany. Its triumph represents a 12th victory at the Oscars for a film supported by the fund, following on from the success of Flow by Gints Zilbalodis, winner of the best animated feature film category in 2025.

The film is a family saga about a film director, played by Stellan Skarsgård, who is estranged from his adult daughters. It is the first Norwegian film to bag the best international feature statuette.

Eurimages extended its congratulations to the Sentimental Value co-producers and the entire team on this remarkable achievement.
