Eurimages Triumphs at 2026 Berlinale with Multiple Wins

The 76th Berlin International Film Festival (Berlinale) ended with an exceptional haul of awards for Eurimages-supported films.

The Golden Bear for Best Film, the Festival's most prestigious award, went to YELLOW LETTERS, a co-production between Germany and France directed by İlker Çatak. This award crowns the work of an international team and testifies to the vitality of co-productions supported by Eurimages.

Other notable successes include:

  • SALVATION (Türkiye, France, Netherlands, Greece) by Emin Alper won the Silver Bear - Grand Jury Prize,
  • Sandra Hüller was awarded the Silver Bear for Best Leading Performance in the film ROSE (Austria, Germany) by Markus Schleinzer, and
  • Geneviève Dulude-De Celles won the Silver Bear for Best Screenplay for the co-production NINA ROZA (Canada, Italy, Bulgaria, Belgium), which she also directed.
  • IF PIGEONS TURNED TO GOLD (Czechia, Slovakia) by Pepa Lubojacki received the Berlinale Documentary Award.

Other films supported by the Fund also received awards from independent juries in various categories.
