Evade Incident Charges - Hamilton Hill

Officers from Southern Regional Operations Group and Fremantle Detectives have charged a 32-year-old man in relation to a police pursuit that commenced in Hamilton Hill on Saturday, 15 November 2025.

About 12.20pm, it will be alleged the man entered inside a residence on Graham Street in Spearwood, and stole a white Toyota Landcruiser station sedan.

About 2.40pm, police located the Toyota Landcruiser travelling on Cockburn Road, near Rockingham Road. Police activated emergency lights and sirens; however, it will be alleged the driver failed to stop and accelerated away from police.

It will be alleged the man drove recklessly through suburbs surrounding Hamilton Hill, Coogee and Claremont - travelling at excessive speeds, driving on the incorrect side of the road, and breaching red traffic control lights.

A short time later, the vehicle allegedly collided with a parked vehicle on Station Street in Cottesloe, causing extensive damage. The driver fled on foot.

About 3.30pm, following a short foot chase, the man was apprehended by police with assistance from members of the public. During the arrest attempt, it will be alleged the man assaulted a police officer.

A 32-year-old man from Hamilton Hill has been charged with the following offences:

• 2 x Driver of a vehicle failed to comply with a direction to stop

• 2 x Reckless driving to escape pursuit by police

• 1 x Assault Public Officer

• 1 x Driver fail to stop - property damage

• 1 x No authority to drive - suspended

• 1 x Failed to comply with a requirement made by a police officer

• 1 x Steal Motor Vehicle

• 1 x Aggravated home burglary and commit

He is due to appear before the Perth Magistrates Court on Sunday, 16 November 2025.
