Cairns Regional Council will provide $9000 to bring an International Legends of League event to Cairns later this year.
International Legends of League uses high profile former State of Origin players and Australian representatives over a four-day event that raises funds for junior rugby league, visits schools, runs coaching clinics and stages a match.
Support for the November event has been provided through Local Community Events funding.
