Ex school teacher from Perth on Eminem's new album

Donna Burke, an ex-high school teacher from Perth now living in Tokyo, found out yesterday via Twitter that a loop from her 2015 song Glassy Sky was on Eminem’s latest album, Kamikaze.

Glassy Sky, featured in the worldwide cult anime Tokyo Ghoul, is a huge hit on YouTube with over 40 million views.

Burke never dreamed it would be so popular nor that it would end up being sampled by Eminem. "I’m shocked and happy to think that Glassy Sky is being heard by..well Eminem for starters..it’s so fun and completely out of left field! I couldn’t make this up…!"

Donna will be in the US next month to sing for Metal Gear in Concert in LA and New York and wonders "Maybe Eminem can er..hang with me backstage?"
