Call for applications for Helmholtz Investigator Groups is open

This year, the Helmholtz Association (HGF) would once again like to enable talented researchers to set up their own investigator group at a Helmholtz Centre and thus qualify for a university career or a leading position in science. To this end, the HGF is funding up to 9 investigator groups at Helmholtz Centres with up to 300,000 euros per year for a period of five years.

Prerequisites

Post-doctoral researchers with a proven track record of research excellence who completed their doctorate two to six years ago are eligible to apply for funding. Applicants who wish to set up their own Helmholtz Investigators Group should have spent at least six months researching abroad. Applications are open to scientists from outside Helmholtz. Applications from abroad are welcome.

The draft proposals are submitted via the institute directors of Forschungszentrum Jülich by 19 February 2024

Applications are submitted via the respective Helmholtz centres. Forschungszentrum Jülich can recommend up to four candidates to Helmholtz. In order to ensure sufficient time for the internal selection process, postdocs who wish to apply at Jülich are requested to contact the respective institute director of the research centre as early as possible. Their support of the application is a prerequisite for admission to the selection procedure. Please contact Anne Korfmacher (see below) immediately if you are interested in applying.
