The Honourable Pablo Rodriguez, Minister of Canadian Heritage and Multiculturalism, today unveiled the programming lineup for Canada Day in Canada's Capital Region. The celebrations, which will highlight multiculturalism, diversity and inclusivity in Canadian society, will be held June 30 and July 1 in Ottawa and Gatineau. It promises to be the big party of the summer that you won't want to miss!
Festivities will take place at three official sites: Parliament Hill and Major's Hill Park in Ottawa, and the Canadian Museum of History in Gatineau.
With the Peace Tower, a flyover by the Snowbirds, an ocean of Canadian flags and an electrifying atmosphere, Parliament Hill is the iconic location for Canada Day. A host of activities await visitors all day long on July 1.
Morning schedule for the East Lawn
Canadians are encouraged to arrive early on Canada Day to take part in a range of activities.
- 8 a.m.: Algonquin peace and friendship circle hosted by Albert Dumont
- 10 a.m.: Peace Tower Carillon concert
Noon Show (starting at 12 p.m.)
The Noon Show is sure to please, with the National Arts Centre Orchestra, K'Naan, T. Thomason, Les Ballets Jazz de Montréal, Karim Ouellet, Shawnee and many more.
The Noon Show on Parliament Hill will be broadcast live on several CBC and ICI Radio-Canada platforms, as well as on the Canadian Heritage Facebook and YouTube channels.
Evening Show (starting at 6:45 p.m.)
Visitors to Parliament Hill are in for a dazzling evening, with the following artists lighting up the stage:

- Karim Ouellet
- William Prince
- Crystal Shawanda
Starting at 10 p.m., the Manulife Canada Day Fireworks will close out the evening with a 15-minute pyromusical show.
CBC and ICI Radio-Canada will broadcast the evening show on their various platforms as part of a two-hour national program. The show will also be broadcast live on the Canadian Heritage Facebook and YouTube channels.
At Major's Hill Park, visitors can spend June 30 and July 1 celebrating Canada's diversity. A host of activities-including interactive works of art, creative and playful games, entertainment, and acrobatics-will showcase the richness of our communities.
The Tim Hortons Stage will feature numerous artists, including CHANCES, Iskwé, Salebarbes, Said The Whale, Tyler Shaw, Corneille, Tokyo Police Club, Élage Diouf and Domeno.
Visitors can enjoy enriching experiences steeped in Indigenous culture on July 1 at the Canadian Museum of History.
The site will be abuzz with entertaining, educational and interactive activities that highlight the richness of Indigenous cultures and languages from across Canada. The Museum will be open to the public, with free admission on July 1.
The Tim Hortons stage will offer a diverse lineup, including DJ Shub, James Jones, Angela Gladue, Silla and Rise, Bleu Jeans Bleu and Ben Caplan.
Across the Country
Canadians will also be celebrating Canada Day in their own communities all across the country. They can honour our history, achievements and Canada's role on the world stage. An interactive map will help people find activities being offered in their region on July 1.
