Key Facts:

  • EZZ Life Science Holdings has developed a drug-free hair growth range - comprising a shampoo, scalp scrub, and hair growth spray - built on eucalyptus stem cells, caffeine, peptides, and amino acids, available at Chemist Warehouse and Priceline stores across Australia.
  • The range targets a significant and under-served market, with male pattern hair loss affecting up to 80 per cent of men by age 80 and female pattern hair loss affecting around 40 per cent of women by age 50.
  • The products are positioned as an accessible, over-the-counter alternative for consumers who are deterred by the cost, commitment, or side effects associated with pharmaceutical hair loss treatments.
  • A 2024 EZZ study found the hair growth spray was effective for 97 per cent of participants, and the range has sold more than 150,000 units over the past two years.
  • EZZ is an ASX-listed genomic life science company that develops and distributes consumer health, hair, and skincare products across Australia, New Zealand, and China.

SYDNEY, Australia, 29 July 2026: EZZ Life Science Holdings (ASX: EZZ), an Australian genomic life science company, says demand is growing for its drug-free hair growth range, built on eucalyptus stem cells, as Australians look for ways to treat thinning hair without pharmaceutical products. The shampoo, scalp scrub and hair growth spray are sold at selected Chemist Warehouse and Priceline stores nationwide.

The market is large and under-served. Male pattern hair loss is thought to affect 80 per cent of men by age 80, and female pattern hair loss rises to about 40 per cent of women by age 50 (Australian Prescriber). Many of those people will not start a pharmaceutical treatment, put off by the ongoing commitment, the cost, or the prospect of increased shedding when they begin. A natural product sold over the counter removes that barrier.

Rather than a synthetic drug, the EZZ range relies on eucalyptus stem cells, caffeine, peptides and four amino acids, with the spray more than 99 per cent natural. Eucalyptus is valued for soothing and clarifying the scalp, easing flaking and irritation, and supporting circulation to the follicle. The spray is applied to the scalp daily and sold beside everyday health and beauty products, rather than behind a pharmacy counter or through a clinic. The scalp scrub and shampoo, built on the same eucalyptus stem cell active, prepare and clean the scalp before the spray is applied.

The result stands up to scrutiny. In a 2024 EZZ study, the spray was effective for 97 per cent of participants, and it has sold more than 150,000 units over the past two years. EZZ Life Science Holdings is an ASX-listed genomic life science company that develops and distributes consumer health, hair and skincare products across Australia, New Zealand and China.

"A lot of people worry about thinning hair but will not touch a drug for it, and until recently that left them with nothing," said Fernando Rodriguez, spokesperson for EZZ. "That is the gap this fills. It is natural, you can buy it off the shelf, and you are not signing up to something you have to take forever."

Rodriguez said repeat purchase is the clearest signal the approach works. "More than 150,000 units is not people trying it once. Nobody rebuys a hair product that did nothing. That number is the proof the natural route actually holds up."
