Police are investigating a factory fire at Blair Athol.
Emergency services responded to fire at a Trigg Street business about 6.20pm Friday 15 April.
MFS deployed a number of resources to fight the blaze with crews eventually bringing the fire under control.
Main North Road has been blocked for north bound traffic between Manuel Avenue and Trigg Street, and is being diverted through back streets. Please avoid the area if you can.
The incident is causing smoke to drift across Blair Athol and surrounding suburbs. Local residents are advised to remain indoors, close doors and windows until the smoke passes.
Fire Cause Investigators will attend to assess the scene in the morning after the structure has been rendered safe.
