Police are urging Far North Queenslanders to prepare for Tropical Cyclone Narelle, which is due to make landfall between Cooktown and Lockhart River tomorrow, 20 March.
With Tropical Cyclone Narelle forecast to reach Category 5 intensity prior to making landfall, residents are urged to stay vigilant and to remain informed with warnings and messages from authorities.
Officers are continuing to engage with residents in Cape York communities including Lockhart River, Coen, Daintree and Cooktown to ensure they are prepared.
Police are also speaking to boat owners in the northern Cape areas, to ensure their vessels are moored and sheltered.

Motorists in flood affected areas are asked to avoid unnecessary travel and urged to never drive through flood waters. Your car cannot keep you safe. If it's flooded, forget it.
