Fasting in my Religion Interfaith Symposium

Ramadan is the holiest month in the Muslim Calendar and it is a time when Muslims all over Australia will abstain from food and drink to improve self discipline and compassion towards those who are less fortunate. Fasting is not exclusive to Islam, and exists in one form or another in most religions. In this symposium, we invite various leaders from different religions to talk about fasting in their religion. This symposium is an opportunity to learn from each other and to educate ourselves about the teachings of various religions.
