Fatal traffic crash at Alligator Creek, QLD

Police are currently on scene investigating a fatal traffic crash which occurred at Alligator Creek this evening, Queensland Police say.

Preliminary inquiries suggest at 8.15pm, a vehicle was travelling along the Bruce Highway when it rolled near Tindall Court.

One man suffered life-threatening injuries and was transported under police escort to Townsville Hospital, however, he has since passed away.

The two other occupants of the vehicle, gender and age unknown, were transported to Townsville Hospital with serious but not life-threatening injuries.

Motorists are being advised that the Bruce Highway is currently closed in both directions and is expected to remain so for the next few hours.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.
