Police are investigating after two people have died in a fatal traffic crash this morning at Gumlu, north of Bowen, Queensland Police say.
Initial investigations indicate at about 8.30am, a car traveling north on the Bruce Highway has collided with a truck in the south bound lane.
The two occupants of the car and their pet dog died as a result of the crash.
The driver of the truck received minor injuries only.
The Bruce Highway has been reduced to one lane whilst emergency services respond.
Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.
