The Darwin International Laksa Festival culminates this Sunday with the finale set to spice up the CBD with a jam-packed schedule from 3:00pm at the Chung Wah Society.
The Festival, which has seen Territorians trace the laksa food trail across the greater Darwin Region, has had over 30 businesses register their laksa inspired dishes.
From pannacotta, to toasties, pies and pasta, through to the soup dish Territorians know and love, uptake from local businesses has been extensive, with some local eateries giving the dish their own unique flair.
The Festival aims to increase restaurant trade, drive people into Darwin CBD, supporting local businesses and encouraging people to explore a variety of restaurants.
Sunday's festival will feature cooking demonstrations, blind taste testing and the awarding of the much anticipated Golden Bowl.
Alongside the Golden Bowl for Darwin's best laksa as judged by an expert panel of judges headed up by Jimmy Shu, there will also be an award for the best laksa inspired dish.
Two people's choice awards as decided by votes placed in the Festival's official app will also be awarded with over 700 votes placed to date, and over 6,100 ratings submitted.
With just two days to go, Territorians are encouraged to download the app if they haven't already and cast their Golden Bowl vote by 5pm Sunday.
Overall, the Darwin International Laksa Festival app has been downloaded over 3,100 times.
