Finding new ways to repair our footpaths and kerbs

We're reviewing our Road Management Plan (RMP) to include more repair options when fixing defects in our local footpaths and kerb and channels.

Including these new repair options will allow us to continue delivering our maintenance works with fewer disruptions throughout challenging construction environments.

The primary change to the RMP will allow us to use a range of treatment options, including grinding, repairing, or replacing faults, to fix defects in concrete footpaths and kerb and channels.

Other changes proposed include:

  • Increasing the width of footpaths (where and when possible) to achieve minimum compliance with the Disability Discrimination Act 1992
  • extending the condition assessment frequency for laneways, from once every four years to once every six years.

We want to know what you think about the proposed changes to our Road Management Plan. Consultation is open until 1 August 2023.
