With less than two months to go, time is running out for firearms holders to hand in their prohibited firearms and parts.
For those in Palmerston North, there will be two collection events on this week.
The events will be held on Thursday 24 October and Friday 25 October at Awapuni Racecourse.
Thursday's event will be from 1pm-7pm and Friday's from 9am-12 noon.
Police-run collection events are just one way of participating in the amnesty and buy-back.
