Police are investigating an incident where a man has presented to Taranaki Base Hospital this morning with a gunshot wound.
This incident is believed to have occurred on Plympton Street, New Plymouth.
A residential property is currently cordoned off and Police are examining the scene.
The 20-year-old man's car, a silver Ford Mondeo hatchback (Reg CGP 879), was also taken.
