Firearms seized in Robinvale raid

Police from Robinvale, the Mildura Divisional Response Unit and dog squad members arrested and charged a 26-year-old man with drug and firearms related offences following an operation in Robinvale last week.

Police executed a search warrant at a residence in Carolyn Court, Robinvale about 8.35am on 17 April and located three firearms.

Investigators also seized a number of chemicals that they allege can be used in the manufacturing of amphetamine.

The Robinvale man has been charged with possession of a trafficable quantity of unregistered firearms, possess prohibited weapon without exemption, possess cannabis, prohibited person possess firearm, prohibited person possess silencer, possess ammunition without a licence, unlicensed person store a firearm in an insecure manner and handle stolen goods.

He is expected to appear before the Mildura Magistrates' Court on 1 May 2019.
