The Finocchiaro CLP Government has unlocked a special round of Community Benefit Fund grants to support Territory not-for-profit organisations impacted by the 2026 floods.

The one-off Flood Relief grants will provide up to $15,000 to eligible community organisations to assist with repairs and the replacement of items damaged or destroyed during recent flooding events across the Territory.

Minister for Racing Marie-Clare Boothby said the funding would help local organisations get back on their feet as quickly as possible.

"Our community organisations are the backbone of our Territory lifestyle. They bring people together, support our regions and provide services that many Territorians rely on every day," she said.

"Many of these organisations are run by volunteers, mums and dads who rely on fundraising to keep the doors open. When their facilities are damaged, it can be incredibly difficult to recover without support.

"We know not every group is in the same position right now. This is about making sure those affected by flooding have the support they need to get back on track."

The Community Benefit Fund is reinvested directly back into local communities and supports initiatives that deliver real outcomes for Territorians.

"We've unlocked this funding so local groups can repair facilities, replace equipment and continue delivering for their communities," Minister Boothby said.

Grants will be assessed as applications are received to ensure support reaches organisations as quickly as possible, with a streamlined process in place to minimise delays.

Minister Boothby said the program was part of the CLP Government's broader commitment to supporting recovery and helping the Territory build back better.

"This is about backing our communities and making sure no one is left behind as we continue to recover, because we are delivering growth, certainty and security for Territorians," she said.

Applications are now open and will remain available until funding is exhausted.
