The band of heavy rainfall has now shifted from south-east Queensland.
Heavy rainfall on Monday resulted in rapid rises at many locations in far south-east Queensland, including in the Logan and Albert and South Coast catchments.
A number of Flood Warnings have been issued for large parts of southern and south-east Queensland.
A Major Flood Warning is current for Myall Creek and the Condamine River, with Moderate Flood Warning current for the Albert River, Minor Flood Warning for the Logan River, and a general Flood Warning for the Nerang and Coomera rivers.
Six-hourly rainfall totals of up to about 200mm were observed last night over the Gold Coast.
Dalby peaked at 3.6m early this morning, which is below the highest peak recorded during January 2011 (3.74m).
Strong and gusty winds may develop near the southern border ranges from tonight and, in combination with the saturated soils, could lead to shallow rooted trees being uprooted in this area.
The Bureau is recommending communities in Queensland stay up to date with the latest Bureau warnings through the Bureau's website and BOM Weather app and follow the advice of emergency services.
