Four teenage boys have been arrested following an investigation into alleged property offences on the Mid North Coast.
About 4am yesterday (Thursday 30 April 2026), police were called to Fern Valley Parade, Port Macquarie, following reports a vehicle had been stolen.
Following inquiries, police located the vehicle abandoned on a nearby street and established that four males had ran from the abandoned vehicle.
Officers attached to Mid North Coast Police District patrolled the area; however, were unable to locate the group.
Following further inquiries, officers attended a Port Macquarie home about 1.15pm yesterday (Thursday 30 April 2026).
During a search of the home, police allegedly located and seized keys to the stolen vehicle and the home on Fern Valley Parade.
Four boys – one aged 12, and three aged 15 – were arrested and taken to Port Macquarie Police Station.
One of the 15-year-old boys was charged with 11 offences,
- Aggravated break and enter dwelling etc in company steal (less than or equal to $60,000)
- Break & Enter house etc steal value (less than or equal to $60,000)
- Aggravated enter dwelling with intent - knowing people there
- Drive conveyance taken without consent of owner (two counts)
- Be carried in conveyance taken without consent of owner
- Dishonestly obtain property by deception
- Police pursuit - not stop - drive recklessly
- Shoplifting value (less than or equal to $2,000), and
- Breach of bail.
A second 15-year-old boy was charged with five offences,
- Aggravated break and enter dwelling etc in company steal (less than or equal to $60,000)
- Be carried in conveyance taken without consent of owner (two counts)
- Drive conveyance taken without consent of owner, and
- Destroy or damage property.
The third 15-year-old boy was charged with be carried in conveyance taken without consent of owner and breach of bail.
All three were refused bail to appear before a children's court today (Friday 1 May 2026).
The younger boy was dealt with under the Young Offenders Act.
